Before
you ask me about why the title is only "A Home", Im going to ask you
this question first. What is the difference between "home" and
"house"?
Wise
men said, A "house" can refer to a building, something concrete,
something you can touch. But A "home" can even be something abstract,
a place in your mind. When you say, “Let’s go home,” you are probably not
talking simply about going to the physical structure where you live. You are
talking about being in the special place where you feel most comfortable and
that belongs to you (copying somewhere from Google).
Yes,
a "home" is a place where you can be free to be yourself. A place
where you are feel peacefully happy, safe, and sound.
Im
talking about a home that I build now. Bought in 2016, it is a small minimalist
modern house. The original building itself is small enough, around 36m2
from the total of 115m2. Me and husband decided not to move in that
time because:

Perumahan tersebut masih benar-benar baru dibangun

Belum ada tanda-tanda kehidupan
3.
Akses jalan masih jelek parah
4.
Kami ada rencana untuk menambah dapur di kelebihan tanah di belakang
Sambil
menunggu proses pembangunan, kami menabung selama hampir dua tahun untuk bisa
merenovasi rumah. Yep! 2018 is the time. Where our money is enough to pay pak
tukang (dengan sedikit utangan tentunya), tetangga juga sudah lumayan banyak,
dan akses jalan sudah hampir sempurna. Alright, baby! We move!
Started
from ekpedisi mencari the perfect tukang. Ini yg wajib dicermati karena kami
berdua bekerja which is ga bisa sering-sering untuk mengontrol pembangunan
rumah, maka kami memutuskan untuk mencari tukang borongan. Kita kasih duit,
pokoknya tau jadi.
Keliatannya
easy peasy ya? But no. Kami disini tidak ada kenalan yang berpengalaman dalam
hal pertukangan. Ada sih, tapi kalo ga sibuk dengan proyeknya yaa harganya
kemahalan, hehhehe. Maklum dana kami cekak. Setelah melalui perdebatan yang
cukup alot, kami menunjuk salah satu jasa kontraktor di Palembang. Later when
this project is finished, we will tell you about the contractor. We will see
his works first before telling you.
So
here it goes, started from August 6th, 2018, our home starts to shine (halah).
